North-west of Llandovery below the Llyn Brianne dam. An old oak woodland with wet alder woodland.

Best in Spring and Summer. There are limited carparking spaces and normally a portaloo.

Barn Swallow, Blackbird, Blackcap, Blue Tit, Bullfinch, Buzzard, Carrion Crow, Chaffinch, Chiffchaff, Cuckoo, Dunnock, Goldfinch, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker, Great Tit, Green Woodpecker, Greenfinch, House Martin, Jay, Kestrel, Linnet, Long-tailed Tit, Magpie, Meadow Pipit, Merlin, Mistle Thrush, Pheasant, Redwing, Reed Bunting, Robin, Snipe, Song Thrush, Sparrowhawk, Starling, Stonechat, Swift, Tawny Owl, Wheatear, Whitethroat, Willow Warbler, Woodpigeon, Wren, Barn Owl.

Mammals seen

Common Shrew, Field Vole, Fox, Mole, Rabbit, Stoat, Weasel, Wood Mouse, Polecat.

Butterflies seen

Brimstone, Comma, Common Blue, Large White, Meadow Brown, Orange Tip, Peacock, Red Admiral, Small Tortoiseshell.
